The process for completing the Procedure Cost Reporting project is a two step process. These steps include:

Procedure Cost Analysis - This is the process of determining cost by procedure specific to each facility. For instance what is the cost to perform a Two View Chest Xray.
Procedure Cost Reporting - This is the process of combining the cost standards completed in step one with the detail charge activity assigned to each patient account.

Procedure Cost Analysis (Step One):
HCI will process the financial information received from the facility according to the Data Requirements List and working with the facility will identify cost standards for the services performed by the facility. Using a HCI's Costing Model a cost sheet will be developed for each service to identify cost standards and components of cost.
